The M-Cut Universal Screw saves time and money because you can use it in concrete, blockwork and brickwork as well as in chipboard and timber without any need for nylon or plastic plugs. What's more, you can drill and screw straight through the fixture, eliminating pre-marking and pre-drilling of the holes.

How is this achieved?
The secret lies in the unique patented design of the screw's 3 high pitch helical threads. These cut into the edges of the hole in the material, giving a positive mechanical interlock (undercut ) between the screw and the substrate. No longer do you need to rely on the frictional resistance of a nylon plug; the screw has cut grooves in the concrete, blockwork or brickwork, just as it does in wood. It's like a bolt in a nut.

The screw would have to unwind to come out or else the ultimate load for either the screw or the base material be exceeded.

Save time and money!
The M-Cut Universal Screw is therefore much quicker to use. You can drill the hole through the fixture as you don't need a large hole for a nylon plug, Drive in one screw straight away, and then let that hold the fixture in place while you drill the other holes through the fixture and drive home the remaining screws. This way one person can install fixings that would normally take two, as you don't need another pair of hands to hold the fixture in place while you pre-mark the holes – no premarking is required!
